Egg, Dairy, and Nut-Free Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour

  • 1 cup Sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 5 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 tbsp white vinegar

  • 1 cup cold water

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet dairy free chocolate chips

    Yield: 4 Servings

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit. Grease an 8X8 inch baking pan or 9 inch round pan.

  2. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Mix well with a wire whisk.

  3. Add vinegar, oil, and vanilla extract and mix well. After flour mixture is moistened, add the cold water and mix until smooth. Add chocolate chips and pour into pan.

  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool on a rack. Top with your favorite frosting or dust with powdered sugar

  5. Enjoy!
